Global MU Online Jewels

Jewels are used to upgrade items and due to their importance and rarity they have been adopted as a currency by the players. Jewel of Bless is the most commonly traded jewel, followed by jewel of Soul and then jewel of Life. 1 Bless is worth 2 Soul and 1 Life is worth 2 Bless. Up to 30 Bless and 10 soul can be stacked together. Jewels of Life can't be stacked together and are not traded as much as the others. The NPC Nahap in the city of Devias can stack and dismantle jewels for a certain sum of Zen. Bless is used to upgrade items from +0 to +6 and Soul is used to upgrade items from +6 to +9. The chaos machine in combination with bless and soul is used to upgrade items from +9 to +13. All these upgrades are done in increments of 1. Upgrades from +0 to +6 have a 100% chance of success while upgrades from +6 to +13 have a 50% chance of success and upon failure the item will be rollbacked to +0.

However, an item with +luck has 75% chance of success for each step from +6 to +10 and a 70% chance for each step from +10 to +13. You must succeed with 7 consecutive upgrades to reach +13. Life, on the other hand, is used to upgrade additional options on an item and this is done in increments of +4. The maximum value for additional options is +16 in the Global version of Mu Online. The additional options can either be defense or attack, depending on whether the item is an armor or a weapon. You have a 50% chance of success when using jewel of life regardless of whether an item has +Luck or not and you must succeed with 4 consecutive upgrades to reach +16. If the upgrade fails the item will lose its additional options and you must start all over again.
